Received a copy earlier in the week. First of all I like the cover - nice layout and the main photo is cool.
The songs that stand out initially were:
“Flow my tears” - love your lead guitar parts …
“Still I love you” - this is a real gem sang really well.
“The Train Now Standing” - the vocal dynamics are very cleverly used ... switching from rapid fire notes to long drawn out notes ...
“Little Hinges” - this could be a big country type hit… the chorus just won't go out of my head ... hit defo.
“On the Edge of Your Memories” - a really good mood - reminds me of the Moody Blues ... that's a compliment by the way ...
“Midsummer Common” - unusual chorus which I like ..."dreaming spires ...."
“The Last Train” - I really like this song...it's got a big heart ... and also is another which seems to reverb in my head "if you want it come and get it ...”
Overall the songs come across well on the album with some excellent vocal performances. So Con congrats ... on showing Intelligence under the all the pressure / bullshit we all must deal with ...
I sense there is a strong undercurrent of spirituality which embodies this work ... always a good thing.
